The producer
Inama is a family-owned winery established in the 1950s by Giuseppe Inama. Today the estate covers around 30 hectares, the majority of which is lying in the Soave area, with an additional piece of land lying further to the east. Caring for the land and allowing the terroir to express itself, is the prime focus for the Inamas, who are constantly looking for ways to improve. Fourth generation of the Inama family, Alessio and Luca, entered the company in 2017.
The wine
‘Vulcaia’ is a Sauvignon Blanc based white wine produced under the Veneto IGT, from vineyards within the Soave Classico area, and is the first cuvee produced by Inama in 1991. The vineyard soil is volcanic, hence the name of the cuvee, and found on the Monte Foscarino. Winemaking is entirely done in stainless steel. This is a refreshing mineral citrus and tropical fruit scented white wine with medium body and a dry juicy finish.
