Corton Charlemagne
Overview
While the Cote d’Or is spoken of as a continuous slope of vines facing east to south-east the “cote” actually peters out at the southern extremes of the Nuits-Saint-George vineyards. Before it begins again at the city of Beaune and the communes of Savigny- and Chorey-les-Beaune the most unique feature is the grand, free-standing hill of Corton.
