The producer

Domaine Dujac is a renowned wine producer located in Morey-Saint-Denis, in the heart of Burgundy, France. Founded in 1967 by Jacques Seysses and his wife, Rosalind, Domaine Dujac has established itself as one of the most respected estates in the region. The estate owns vineyards across some of Burgundy's most prestigious appellations, including Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis, and Vosne-Romanée, among others.

Domaine Dujac is particularly known for its commitment to organic and biodynamic farming practices, as well as its minimal intervention winemaking approach. The wines produced by Domaine Dujac are highly sought after for their elegance, complexity, and ability to reflect the unique terroir of each vineyard site. The wine

The Dom. Dujac Morey-Saint-Denis Village is a beautifully expressive interpretation of one of the Côte de Nuits’ most characterful communes, crafted with the precision and finesse for which Domaine Dujac is renowned. Sourced from carefully tended parcels surrounding the village, the wine captures the balance between aromatic purity and structural depth that defines Morey-Saint-Denis. The nose opens with lifted aromas of red cherry, raspberry and crushed rose petals, layered with subtle spice, forest floor and delicate smoky nuances from refined oak ageing.

On the palate, the wine is supple yet finely structured, with vibrant red fruit framed by silky tannins and fresh acidity. Hints of wild herbs, earth and mineral tension add complexity and persistence through the finish. Rather than simply highlight the best score to promote a wine, our average critic score is calculated from the scores provided by several respected wine critics, who we follow for specific regions. They do not represent all critic scores and, wherever possible, we try and give more weight to more recent reviews. Where appropriate we consider market-based scores like Global Wine Score or Wine Searcher Average scores.

As a rule, we look to offer wines that achieve a 92/100 average critic score or better and frankly a lot of very good wines simply don’t make the cut. As a high-end provider we want to reflect that positioning in the quality of wines we offer. Such wines are only a tiny fraction of those generally on offer in the market. We believe that an average score is a more conservative and representative approach, but it is still subjective and only offered as a guide to our customers, who will (and should) do their own research. We will add individual critic scores to our website in the future.
