South Australia is Australia’s largest wine producing state, accounting for around 44% of the total vineyard here. Here we find many wine growing regions including Barossa, Coonawarra, Eden and Clare Valleys and the McLaren Vale. In terms of grape varieties South Australia is home to very diverse terroirs which produce outstanding examples of Shiraz (and related blends), Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Riesling among many others.
