Rosacker Grand Cru

The 26.18-hectare Rosacker Grand Cru is located in the village of Hunawihr in the heart of Alsace. The vineyard is east, southeast facing, at 260-330 metres altitude, and the soil is made up of mainly dolomitic limestone. Wines from here have remarkably aromatic purity and exuberance, with a powerful acid structure. Rosacker is planted mainly with Riesling (65%) and Riesling from here is dry, intense, and concentrated with a beautiful salinity on the palate.   

Trimbach’s Clos Sainte Hune - one of Alsace's oldest and best-regarded vineyards – comes from a small, site within the Rosacker vineyard. However, Trimbach choose many years ago to not use the Grand Cru name on the label, instead creating a prestigious brand for the Clos Sainte Hune name in itself. We offer this wine.
