Peter Jakob Kuhn
The Kuhn family has been making wine in Rheingau, around the village of Oestrich, for over 200 years. In 1979, the current – 11th – generation, Peter Jakob and wife Angela, took over the running of the estate and today, son Peter is the winemaker. The Kuhns have around 20 hectares of vineyards, 90% of which are planted to Riesling and certified biodynamic since 2004. The southwest exposed Ostrich Lenchen Grand Cru site is one of the family’s proudest.
