Le Chambertin Grand Cru

Along with Chambertin-Clos de Beze, Le Chambertin is the pinnacle of Grands Crus in Gevrey-Chambertin. With 12.90 hectares, Le Chambertin is located above the Route des Grands Crus between Latricieres Grand Cru and Clos de Beze Grand Cru. The altitude is 275-300 metres above sea level, the topography has a gentle incline, and soils are dominated by limestone of Bajocian origin. Compared to Clos de Beze, alongside which it is often classified, Le Chambertin is known to produce more powerful, concentrated, and structured wines.
