Domaine Weinbach

Domaine Weinbach was founded, in Kaysersberg, in 1898 by two Faller brothers, and later passed down to one of their son’s, Theo Faller, who grew the Domaine to its current 30-hectare size. When Theo passed away in 1979, the estate was left to his wife Colette and two daughters, Catherine and Laurence. Sadly, Colette and Laurence passed away in the mid 2010s, leaving Catherine Faller (from 2016) to run the estate with her two sons, Eddy and Theo.

The Domaine is still today based in Kaysersberg, at the foot of the Schlossberg hill, and is named after a small river that flows through the property (weinbach means “wine brook”). The family started using biodynamic methods in the vineyards in 1998 and were fully certified in 2010. All fruit is handpicked and fermented (only using indigenous yeast) and matured in old oak foudres.
