Domaine Santa Duc

Now in the hands of the sixth generation of the Gras family, Benjamin Gras, Domaine Santa Duc produces wines which are amongst the very finest of the Gigondas appellation. 30 hectares of vineyards are today farmed and certified biodynamic and include 13 hectares in Gigondas including some of the best single vineyards here.

The premier cuvee is Les Hautes Garrigues – an equal blend of Grenache and Mourvedre from 75-year-old vines in the eponymous lieu-dit on the plateau of Gigondas and Clos Derriere Vieille is Santa Duc’s monopole vineyard and located “behind the old town”. These are extraordinary and imposing Gigondas with immense depth of fruit and refined tannin structure.
