Albert Grivault

This historic domaine hails back to 1875 and has owned the monopole vineyard of Clos des Perrieres sine 1877. The Bardet family – Albert Grivault’s grandchildren – now own and run the estate and are one of the largest owners of the Les Perrieres vineyard, with 1.55 hectares - this is the jewel in the Bardet family’s crown.

Domaine Albert Grivault today covers 6 hectares, with roughly five in white wine and one in red wine. The red is a Pommard, and all the white wines come from Meursault, including Clos des Perrieres, Perrieres and Charmes. In fact, in 1904, Albert Grivault famously donated the Meursault Charmes vineyard to the Hospices de Beaune, and to this day this wine still auctioned as Cuvee Albert Grivault every year. The white wines see just under a year of maturing in oak, of which 20% is new for the Premier Crus.
